Virginia Women’s Voices Policy Institute

The Policy Institute convene cross-sector partners, elevates research, and advocates for policies that expand economic security, health & safety, and civic participation. Because equity cannot rely on goodwill alone — it must be embedded in systems.

Research is power. It gives us the facts behind the headlines and a clear picture of how women and girls are truly faring across Virginia. By grounding conversations in credible data, we move beyond opinion and into informed action.

We are proud to lift up research conducted by trusted organizations across the Commonwealth and beyond — amplifying findings that reveal both the progress we’ve made and the persistent inequities that remain. From economic security and health access to leadership and safety, these studies, policy papers, fact sheets and legislaative updates help us understand what women and girls in Virginia are experiencing right now — and what must change to ensure they can thrive.

When we share information, we strengthen advocacy. When we center evidence, we sharpen solutions. And when we elevate the work of respected organizations, we help ensure that the voices and realities of Virginia’s women and girls are seen, heard, and acted upon.
