Podcast & Digital Media Internship

The Virginia Women’s Foundation is seeking a motivated and creative intern to support our podcast and digital media initiatives this fall. This role is a unique opportunity to help amplify women’s voices and leadership through storytelling and online engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Research potential podcast guests and topics

  • Assist with drafting interview questions, scheduling, and preparing for recordings

  • Learn and apply best practices in podcast production

  • Help edit podcast interviews and publish episodes online

  • Support social media campaigns to promote each episode

  • Update the podcast section of the Virginia Women’s Foundation website

  • Contribute to developing a social media brand kit and content calendar

  • Create engaging social media posts for other Foundation programs and key awareness dates

Internship Details

  • Schedule: Remote internship requiring ~10 hours per month, October–December 2025 (with the opportunity to continue into 2026)

  • Compensation: Unpaid; may be completed for college credit

  • Technology: Intern must have access to their own computer

Qualifications

  • Passion for women’s leadership and amplifying women’s voices

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Experience using Canva (or eagerness to learn)

  • Knowledge of podcasting best practices and/or experience editing video podcasts (or willingness to learn)
